🧂 salt air & the rust on your door by @momoslimes_ 🌊 🧂 texture: white glue with perlite, super crunchy 🌊 scent: ocean air, melon, and asian pear 🚪 color: white, medium size 🤍 comes with: 1oz jelly syrup The name of this one got me before I ever opened the jar. “Salt air, and the rust on your door” is the opening line of August by Taylor Swift of folklore. Salt and rust together are the sound of something beautiful quietly wearing away, a love with a season on it and an ending already built in. I love this whole concept so much. If you have ever stayed at a beach house, or are lucky enough to own one, you know exactly what this is. My grandparents had one when I was growing up and the ocean air would layer salt onto the siding, the doors, the hinges, anything facing the water until the edges went rusty. I always thought of it as the ocean reminding you she was in charge and leaving her mark. Fun fact: salt air is not being dramatic either, metal in a coastal marine atmosphere corrodes many times faster than the same metal inland. The texture is my favorite part. Super crunchy perlite in a white glue dream base, with that gritty pumice crunch running all the way through it. The little pebbles you see are just the natural perlite and totally normal, and they crush down the longer you play, so the crunch softens as you go. Aesthetically, putting this one together was beautiful and made my beach and salt loving soul so happy. All that soft white with the speckle running through it. I was a little bummed on the scent. The melon takes over, and it is a lovely melon (momo’s signature melon), but I wanted more of that ocean air. I wanted to open the jar and feel like I was opening the door to the view with the salty air behind it. I did not get that. Totally okay though. I still love this slime!
