Cherry blossoms only bloom for about one to two weeks each year, and the Japanese tradition of hanami (flower viewing) goes back over a thousand years. The brief, fleeting beauty of sakura is part of why people love them so much, a celebration of how quickly something gorgeous can come and go. I think about that every spring and this slime captures that feeling perfectly. Okay this slime is pure springtime magic in a container. The scent is absolutely intoxicating, a beautiful medium floral sweetness that gets stronger and stronger as you play, and it just makes me feel so happy and light. It is the kind of scent that fills the whole room and stops you in your tracks. Decorating and setting this one up was such a joy. Every little touch captures the aesthetic of a real cherry blossom tree so perfectly. The cherry blossom tree charm is the absolute star, super cute and so realistic, with the tiny pink blooms looking like a real sakura tree in miniature. Paired with the sprinkles tucked around the base, the finished look is spot on, just a beautiful, delicate creation that I almost did not want to mix. The texture is gorgeous mixed in. The butterfizz and bingsu base are smooth and creamy, and once you fold in that 2oz of perlite the whole thing turns into this incredible crispy, buttery snowfizz that is so satisfying to play with. It is crunchy without losing any of the softness underneath, and there is barely any fallout from the snowfizz while you play, which makes it so much more enjoyable.
